Please note that the original sender is liable for any postage costs in this case.

Please note that it takes 3 weeks to have your bag repaired and sent back. (During peak season the processing may take a little longer).

HOW LONG ARE KIPLING PRODUCTS COVERED BY WARRANTY?

Kipling offers a legal warranty term on all regular products (bags and luggage) from date of purchase.

WHAT'S COVERED BY OUR WARRANTY? WHAT'S NOT?

Kipling guarantees its products against possible defects in materials and workmanship. During the warranty period, we will repair or replace your bag ( with an equivalent bag if your bag is no longer available).

Our warranty is only valid when the product is used for the purpose it was intended under normal conditions.

This warranty does not cover any damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse (such as tears, cuts and holes in the fabric) normal wear and tear or theft.

We never cover damage caused by third parties during transportation (such as airline travel or other carriers).

Incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to or loss of, the contents of a bag, loss of use of time or similar expenses are not recoverable under this warranty.

Important Legal Notice:

The Kipling Guarantees give you specific legal rights. They do not affect any statutory rights that you have as a purchaser of a defective product.

HOW DOES IT ALL WORK IN PRACTICE?

If your Kipling product is defective, please return it to the Kipling dealer you purchased from. (Please remember to bring a sales receipt or any other proof of purchase).

If this is not possible, please download the repair form (see top at of page). Fill out this form and send it together with proof of purchase and your faulty Kipling to the given address.

WHAT IF THE FAULT IS NOT OR NO LONGER COVERED BY THE WARRANTY?

Even if the damage is not (or no longer) covered by the warranty, you can still choose to have your product repaired by our high-quality repair service at very reasonable prices. Naturally, this is on the condition that we still stock the spare parts needed for the repair.

You will find a price list for repairs not covered by our warranty attached (see top of page).

Limited Global Warranty

At Kipling®, we rigorously test all our products to ensure that they meet stringent standards. Therefore, if a problem occurs with a Kipling® product (the "Product") and the problem is caused by manufacturing defects in material or workmanship, we will, in our discretion, either fix or replace the Product in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions stated here. This warranty applies only to the person who has purchased the Product or to the person who has received the Product as a gift.

This warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines, for example); cosmetic damage like scratches, dents, stains, colour changes or other non-functional changes in the appearance of the Product are also excluded. If your Product is damaged in transit, file a complaint with the carrier at the point of arrival, if possible before the customs clearance procedure. While non-warranty maintenance or repairs on your Product can be performed by any company, we require that you use only our Kipling® Warranty Center ("Warranty Center") for any warranty repairs. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs will void this warranty.

Please do not send your Product directly to Kipling® as this will only result in additional costs. For direct shipments, you will be responsible for all costs of getting the Product to any such Warranty Center including, but not limited to, the cost of packaging, shipping and applicable taxes. Instead use our nominated physical retailers or online ecommerce platforms, where you bought the Product, to return the Product.

For any service at a Warranty Center, you will need to send a copy of your original receipt of purchase, as well as the completed repair document (found on this page) together with your claimed Product. The Warranty Center will determine whether the problem is covered by our Kipling® warranty or not. Any repair or replacement, covered by our warranty, will be at our expense, including any costs required to return the repaired or replacement Product back to you. If the Product needs replacing but is no longer available, we will substitute your original Product for a comparable Kipling® Product.

Incidental and consequential damages are not covered by this warranty, nor are labor charges or damages attributable to work performed by anyone other than a Warranty Center. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties are therefore excluded. This warranty is limited to the value of the Product. Manufacturing specifications are subject to change without notice. Please note that some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

With regards to our luggage items with locks: locks are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot necessarily prevent theft of the Product or its contents, breakage or entry by airline or airport personnel or governmental authorities. Inspect your Product immediately after handling by anyone other than you. If damaged in transit, submit a claim to the transit company (which is insured against damaging your Product) at the place of arrival, if possible, before clearing customs.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights; any additional rights you may have will vary from state to state or country to country with respect to the exclusion or application of implied warranties, incidental and consequential damages and repair and replacement. Consequently, the limitations or exclusions specifically contained in this warranty may not be applicable to you.
